Oh, and I think the attacks are from people going to the Arena. It seems to pick out random opponents for you, so sometimes you get picked by other people. Sometimes not.

if you're not going to equip the item then you go to the weapons or magic shop and drag and drop the item on the salesman

I got lucky when I refreshed at the armory and magic shop. There is alot better then me though, I have had my butt kicked several times in the arena.

Also, it's taking a whole lot of willpower to stay away from that mushroom vendor. I bet you by the end of the night, I'll have +100 though. Arg! There sure do get ya with the mushroom thing. 

I don't pay for these games. I did at first with Torn, but learned my lesson. You can get the mushrooms eventually, with the missions. 

I hope so only level 5 and mushrooms are gone. I have good enough gear to last for a while I guess :(

I didn't know what I was doing and blew all my mushrooms in the arena the first day... oh well 

I figured they were some sort of limited thing. I blew 3 before I saw the mushroom dude. So now i need to get 3 via quests so i can get that griffon dragon 

I have been getting into this. This mushroom thing sucks, but on the plus side you still get work money without having the page up. So once I grind out the mission/arena bit, I put his happy ass to work and go on about my day.

I'd love guild invite once that is an option.

Does anybody know the best way to get those pesky mushrooms?
I won one in the arena I think, but I loose more mushrooms fighting there than I care for.
Also, is the Arena at all balanced?
I got paired of with 4 level 1 opponents when I was level 2,
then I suddenly got jumped by a level 8 spell caster when I was level 3.

Protip: When choosing the arena, if you do not like the level of your opponent,
simply click 'Arena' again, and it will reload.

Sometimes you will get repeats when doing this,
but I have been mostly successful in clicking until I find a level that I am comfortable challenging.

Losing in the Arena sux - I have lost as much as 3 or 4 gold in a single combat, and yet never seem to win more than a few silver.

I have not been able to determine if the reward is better if you defeat a higher level opponent. 

To answer your question about the 'shrooms -
questing and dungeons are the best way to replenish without paying.

Good to know that I can bail on an arena fight.
I also finally met a guy my own level in the arena and kicked seven kinds of shit out of him,
even though he started with about a hundred more hitpoints.
I accidentally started with a lot of dexterity and I do a fair amount of damage.
So how are those guild invites coming along?
Look for pholiant or just follow the blood spatters... 

It looks like we are about 26 gold away from being able to upgrade the size of the guild.

In regards to the arena:

The system automatically chooses an opponent that has about as much honor points as you. Alternatively, you can manually type in a name of another player and click on ‘OK’ to attack.

Your earnings by winning will be reduced if your opponent has less honor points than you

So it does not match by level, but by honor, which means that if you get kicked in the but enough
you will eventually be thrown in the kiddy pool to regain some self esteem.

protip: spend your money before battling in the arena so if you lose you don't lose much gold 

We may needs 2 Fazed guilds then at least initially, sounds like there are enough waiting to fill out another. In a while when everyone is much richer we can merge them.
